Health Professional Education Foundation
DEAR DHS HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL,
The Health Professions Education Foundation improves access to healthcare in underserved areas of California by providing scholarships, loan repayments, and programs to health professional students and graduates. In return, recipients agree to provide direct patient care in a Medically Underserved Area (MUA) or Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) for a period of one to four years. For a list of MUA or HPSA facilities, please visit OSHPD at https://bhpr.hrsa.gov/shortage.
From July 1 through October 1, 2013, scholarship and loan repayment applications will be available for electronic submittal at https://calreach.oshpd.ca.gov. The Foundation administers 13 scholarship and loan repayment programs for students and health providers. For additional information, please visit https://www.oshpd.ca.gov/HPEF/
