Advance Adult Critical Care Program
This program is designed to prepare the nurse currently working in an intensive care area to care for critically ill patients with multi-system problems. The nursing process is used as a framework for the integration and synthesis of critical care nursing, with the disciplines of pharmacology, pathophysiology, psychology and sociology. This program provides the nurse with core content upon which to base nursing care decisions in the clinical setting.
This program includes didactic and a two-week clinical component designed to provide the critical care nurse with advanced learning experiences in managing critically ill patient with multi-system problems. Included in this program is the following content:
- Clinical Assessment/Evaluations
- Case Presentations
- Research Development Skills
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Clinical Coach Class
