Financial aid funds are disbursed by check and are available for pick up in the FA Office.
Financial aid check requests are submitted after verification of DDCC exam success. Processing and delivery time usually takes 5-10 business days.
Subsidized Loans are need-based. Department of Education pays the interest while you’re in school for the first 6 months after you leave school and/or during a period of deferment.
Unsubsidized Loans are non-need-based. Student is responsible for paying the interest during all periods. Interest accrues as soon as the loan is disbursed.
Tuition can be paid at any cashier’s office at the LA General Hospital campus. A copy of the receipt must be submitted to the FA Office.
All students are eligible for this tuition deferment program. Students may defer $1,700 for each semester of their program (excluding repeated semesters), to be repaid after graduation. Contracts must be signed and submitted during New Student Orientation Week.
Deferred tuition can be paid through service at a DHS facility, a 2-year payment plan after graduation, or lump sum by graduation.
