Good reproductive health is important for everyone, not just those who are planning a family. It is critical to prevent infections and problems which can cause permanent health problems. Health Services is focused on your long- term reproductive care and helping you to live your best quality of life.
Birth Control (Contraception)
There are many birth control methods available to prevent unintended pregnancy. Health Services provides hormonal, barrier, intrauterine, and permanent birth control methods. Effectively using birth control can significantly reduce the chance of unplanned pregnancy. Your healthcare provider will discuss the options that are right for your short-term and long-term goals.
For those who are uninsured or under-insured, Health Services is a Family PACT provider. Family PACT is California’s innovative approach to providing comprehensive family planning services to eligible low income men and women.

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
Knowing your STI status is the first step in staying healthy and preventing the spread of infections to others. Many STIs are easily diagnosed and treated when they are caught early. If you tested negative for any STIs, talk to your healthcare provider about ways to continue protecting yourself. If you test positive for any STIs, speak with your provider about the steps to keeping yourself and your partner healthy. It is very important to treat both you and your partner to prevent re-infection.
Abortion Services
Choosing to end a pregnancy is legal in California. At LA Health Services, we provide abortion access in a safe, compassionate, and supportive medical environment. We offer access to two safe and effective abortion options including Medication Abortions and Procedural Abortions. For Medication Abortions, we continue to provide our patients with access to mifepristone as needed. You and your provider will discuss which option is right for you.
