The Cardiology Division at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center provides a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services.

Board-certified adult cardiologists provide inpatient consultative services for patients admitted to our intensive care unit, telemetry unit, and rehabilitation units.  They perform invasive procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography and surgically implant cardiac devices, including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders.

Cardiologists and cardiac nurse practitioner run a busy outpatient clinic and care for patients with an array of cardiovascular conditions, such as coronary artery disease, valvular and congenital heart diseases, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and cardiac involvement associated with neuromuscular dystrophies.

The Cardiac Diagnostic Suite performs non-invasive cardiology tests including electrocardiograms, transthoracic echocardiograms, treadmill stress testing, and nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging.

The Cardiology Division, along with physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, and nursing education, provide multidisciplinary Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs to improve outcome and quality of life for our cardiac patients.
