MIST: Misdemeanor Incompetent to Stand Trial Diversion
The MIST program diverts individuals facing misdemeanor charges, who are found incompetent to stand trial, out of jail and into community-based settings where they receive housing and clinical care. The community-based settings, ranging from acute inpatient to open residential placements, are tailored to meet the needs and clinical acuity of the clients.
