Handbook
On January 1, 2024, the State of California will expand Medi-Cal to individuals between 26 and 49 years of age. As a result, Medi-Cal will be available for EVERYONE regardless of immigration status and the My Health LA program will end on January 31, 2024. To prepare for this transition, MHLA is requesting all program participants enroll in Restricted Medi-Cal before December 31, 2023. This will help all participants move into Full-Scope Medi-Cal on January 1, 2024.
You can also apply for benefits today in English or Spanish. If you have questions about Public Charge, please visit the Benefits Access for Immigrants Los Angeles (BAILA) Network here.
When you enroll in My Health LA, you will receive an ID card/tarjeta de identificación (ID) and a handbook/manual. The handbook provides detailed information about MHLA and the services you can get in the program. The handbook also provides a complete listing of all My Health LA Community Partners. Please let us know if you did not receive your ID card or the handbook. Call My Health LA Member Services at 1 (844) 744-6452.
