MHLA Community Partner Connection Newsletter
Community Partners,
Thank you for your work reaching out to MHLA participants 50 and older and assisting them with the Older Adult Expansion. This has been a long-time coming and we are so glad to be witnessing a monumental change in California that enables our older adult participants to obtain health insurance.
More than 37,000 MHLA participants who were 50 years and older and enrolled in March were confirmed to be on Restricted-Scope Medi-Cal and will be transitioned into Full-Scope Medi-Cal. Those participants are being disenrolled by May 1, and the rest of the older adult population will be disenrolled by August 1. Please help them get enrolled in Medi-Cal right away. We also appreciate you all signing the contract amendment changing the age of eligibility, and we hope the Provider Bulletin on the 50+ transition was helpful. We and our DHS specialty care colleagues will work closely with you to ensure a smooth transition and we encourage you to get participants set up with new specialists as soon as possible.
We know everyone is wondering about the future of One-e-App eligibility and enrollment system, but unfortunately, we don’t yet have any updates. As we shared earlier, Alluma will be sunsetting One-e-App in early 2023. MHLA is committed to finding a working solution past that date. We are working closely with our IT department and Alluma to explore options and will update you as we move forward.
