Because of a global recall and the Covid pandemic, the ongoing shortage of CPAP machines continues. As of March 2022, DHS and Calox (the DHS vendor) are still experiencing difficulties obtaining a supply of CPAP machines from the manufacturer, Philips. Replacements and supply of the CPAP machines will be coming directly from Philips. It is important to note that those individuals wishing to obtain a replacement will need to register with Philips to get a replacement machine. The current supply of CPAP machines, which are not Philips Respironics, are currently reserved for patients needing to discharged from the hospital or have an extremely high AHI, with each being reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Orders that are placed with Calox are added to their system, but because of the backlog, these orders have been put on hold. DHS and MHLA will continue to monitor the situation and will update on any significant developments.
