Hospital Week will be celebrated throughout Health Services. See below for the planned activities at the hospitals and plan to participate.

Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center:

Monday: There will be a balloon display.  Each balloon symbolizes a patient that recovered from Covid-19, the wreath is honoring those we lost, including patients, staff and family members.

Tuesday: Snack distribution (courtesy of our foundation and Executive team)

Wednesday: Outdoor educational fair with socially distanced booths

Thursday: Gratitude Wall – Staff will write thank you notes

Friday: Lounge music in the plaza during lunch time

 

Harbor-UCLA Medical Center: True North Spirit Days

Monday: #HarborStrong Day – Staff will wear their Harbor-UCLA Medical Center gear, music will be played in the Parlow Plaza during lunch time and staff can write messages of gratitude for their team members to be displayed in the atrium the rest of the week.

Tuesday: Our Patients – Staff wear Blue in honor of our patients. There will be a “Blooms for Patients” fundraiser (each staff member that makes a $1.00 donation will receive a flower and a notecard). Proceeds will go to Harbor’s Adopt a Family program.

Wednesday: Our People – Staff will wear Purple, symbolizing our people.  There will be a staff snack giveaway.

Thursday: Our Resources – Staff will wear Green symbolizing our resources. Kaizen office will set up an information booth about Harbor Lean Initiatives related to our resources.

Friday: Quality and Safety – Staff will wear Red symbolizing our commitment to Quality and safety.  There will be a Quality and Safety Trivia game.  Participants will be entered into a raffle to win prizes.

 

LA General

LA General will greet their healthcare workers with a giant banner and a balloon arch. There will also be a “Show your LA General Spirit Contest” all week. Daily prizes will be awarded. To participate, staff should take a picture in their LA General spirit gear and tag LA General on social media for a chance to win. Contest winners will be announced during Town Hall on May 19, 2021.

MONDAY:  Snacks will be provided to the healthcare heroes throughout the day. There will also be a Mindfulness Meditation offered from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in Conference Room A. Water and light snacks will be provided.

TUESDAY:  There will be a Virtual Zoom Meditation Session led by Dr. Tobi Fishel from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM and another Mindfulness Meditation from 1:00 PM-6:30 PM in Conference Room A. Water and light snacks will be provided.

WEDNESDAY: Mindfulness Meditation will be offered from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM in Conference Room B.  Water and light snacks will be provided.

THURSDAY:  A “Thank you Wall” with messages from the community will be posted on a giant banner outside in the Quad.

FRIDAY:  There will be a music celebration in the Quad “Healing through Music.”

 

Olive View-UCLA Medical Center:

Monday: Staff Care Drive – this will be a staff donation drive for toothbrushes, toothpaste, bars of soap, etc. Each staff member that donates, will receive a Lifesaver and raffle ticket.

Tuesday:  Ice Cream for our Staff

Wednesday:  Staff Appreciation Video – we will collect pictures from staff

Thursday:  Staff Care Raffle, Patient Donation Giveaway

Friday:  Olive View-UCLA Medical Center band to play in Lot E during Farmer’s Market
