Provider Bulletin 16: Specialty Care and eConsult 1024 658 My Health LA

Provider Bulletin 16 is now available to our CPs. The purpose of Provider Bulletin 16 is to inform our Community Partners about specialty care and eConsult after My Health LA sunsets. Beginning February 1, 2024 and through August 2024, CPs can continue to use eConsult for free for individuals who are ineligible for Full-Scope Medi-Cal and uninsured. Like in the past, appointment locations will be linked to the CP cluster; if the geographical location of referral site is inconvenient, patients will be able to inform Specialty Care Linkage at the time of scheduling. We advise our CPs to inform the referred patients that they will be financially screened by Health Services.

Because MHLA will end on January 31, 2024, MHLA staff will not be able to facilitate support between the CPs and eConsult. However, support will still be available via the Health Services Help Desk. Please note that the Health Services contract with Safety Net Connect will continue through August 2024. After the end of the contract and since MHLA will no longer exist, access to and use of eConsult will likely require a direct contract between the CPs and Safety Net Connect.

Further details on Provider Bulletin 16 can be found on the My Health LA website.
