MHLA Community Partner Connection Newsletter

Community Partners,

Thank you so much for attending the recent all-MHLA provider meeting. It was nice to see so many of you and to be able to share important information about the transition of our MHLA participants 50 and older and about Gov. Newsom’s proposal to continue expanding Medi-Cal to low-income individuals regardless of immigration status. We also shared updates about the scheduled sunsetting of the One-e-App enrollment system, changes to the mental health prevention project, the quality incentive project intended to bring patients back to in-person care, the plan to permanently continue with remote enrollment and our most recent annual report.

As a reminder, the County Ordinance on vaccine requirements for contractors is in place. Please submit your “Certification of Compliance” if you have not done so. If all your staff are vaccinated, we only need one certification submitted. If CPs have approved employees’ request for exemption, you will need to identify the staff on the Certification of Compliance and submit a new Certification of Compliance each week to confirm that the employees have been tested weekly for COVID-19 and received a negative result. Questions can be sent to cg@dhs.lacounty.gov.

Also, we want to feature you in the CP Connection. Please send us articles, updates and photos! We would love to include information about programs/initiatives that benefit MHLA participants, photos (include consent to use) and updates on COVID work. Thank you very much for your ongoing partnership as we make it through the Omicron wave and look toward a better 2022.

— Anna Gorman, COO, Community Programs
