MHLA Eligibility and Enrollment Audits 1024 410 My Health LA

As the MHLA sunsetting date draws closer, we would like to take this opportunity to remind our Community Partners and other involved parties that the Eligibility Review Unit will continue to conduct eligibility audits and will evaluate and deny individuals who are not eligible for the program, such as for income, LA County residence or age ineligibility. These monthly audits will cease December 31, 2023. The auto-disenrollment process implemented for the individuals turning 50 years old, as well as all other disenrollment options will remain the same.

With new applicants continuing to be enrolled and the automatic extension underway, please be sure to follow the eligibility rules based on income, age, residency and inability to qualify for public health insurance.

A provider bulletin regarding the automatic enrollment extension was sent out in January 2023 and contains further details regarding this particular topic. Further details pertaining to ongoing audits, the Ages 26-49 Full Scope Medi-Cal Expansion, the Medi-Cal Enrollment Incentive Program, and more can be found on the My Health LA resources web page.
