Medi-Cal Transition Support 1024 683 My Health LA

My Health LA is ending and we are doing everything we can to ensure that the Medi-Cal transition goes as smoothly as possible for our participants and community partners. At the end of November, MHLA will be broadcasting a reminder to our CPs that all user accounts in One-e-App will be switched to read only on December 31, 2023. We will also be sending a final reminder of this mid-December.

We have also posted on our website a “Potential Medi-Cal Linkage Referral Checklist” that CPs can use to check if an individual might qualify for Medi-Cal. DHS is asking CPs to only send individuals not eligible for Medi-Cal to DHS for specialty care via eConsult post-MHLA. This is an internal DHS tool that we feel will be helpful to avoid any delays in care and cancellation of specialty care appointments for any individuals that may likely qualify for Medi-Cal. This checklist can be found on our website on the “Medi-Cal Expansion Resources” page.

The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has a variety of useful information and resources on their Medi-Cal Adult Expansion website. DHCS provides a Global Outreach Language Toolkit to assist community organizations with outreach materials in several languages. In addition, DHCS provides information in the form of a FAQ and a General Information Notice available in multiple threshold languages.
