First Phase of My Health Closure Begins

First Phase of My Health Closure Begins 1024 684 My Health LA

In a bittersweet moment, the first group of My Health LA staff will be relocated elsewhere within LA County Health Services by October 1, 2023. This first wave consists of the Clinical Audit Team and some of the Eligibility Review Unit. The first phase of the My Health LA sunsetting and relocations coincides with several landmark events and changes within MHLA.

Because the Clinical Audit Team will be closing effective the end of September, MHLA will no longer accept applications to add clinic sites regardless of FSR status. Effective October 1, 2023, requests to add any sites, clinical or dental cannot be accepted since there will be no staff available to conduct prerequisite audits. As we have mentioned in our MHLA PROVIDER BULLETIN # 15 – Adult Medi-Cal Expansion Ages 26 through 49, all programmatic annual audits for Fiscal Year 2023-24 have been canceled for the rest of the MHLA program.

Regarding staff transition the Eligibility Review Unit (ERU), will continue to conduct eligibility audits and will evaluate and deny individuals who are not eligible for the program, such as for income, LA County residence or age ineligibility as outlined in MHLA PROVIDER BULLETIN # 14 – AUTOMATIC ENROLLMENT EXTENSION. These audits will continue through December 31, 2023. The auto-disenrollment process implemented for the individuals turning 50 years old, as well as all other disenrollment options will remain the same. On January 1, 2024, all One-e-App User Accounts will be transitioned to “Read Only.” As a reminder, effective August 31, 2023, CPs will no longer have assigned Subject Matter Experts. Community Partners will be able to contact the SME line and Member Services until January 31, 2024. For additional information, please refer to PROVIDER BULLETIN # 14.
