Holiday season is here, and it is a time to come together and celebrate the good things in life. However, for many the holidays are a bleak reminder that others are less fortunate. In LA County several agencies and organizations are extending a helping hand and providing relief to those in need and seeking what comfort they can find.

No one deserves to go hungry during the holidays The Los Angeles Regional Foodbank is partnering with several agencies this year to provide hot meals for the holidays. A full list of hosted events and partner organizations are available on their resources page for the holidays. The LA Foodbank regularly updates their website with information on upcoming information on special events, resources for finding food and volunteer opportunities, so check back often.

Several organizations are gearing up for the December holidays. The County of Los Angeles Fire Department, ABC7, Toys for Tots, and Southern California firefighters are partnering up for their “Spark of Love Toy Drive”. The coalition of organizations will be accepting donations at local neighborhood fire stations, online, or at a series of events held throughout Southern California.
