eConsult Anaphylaxis Portal

As DHS is in the process of filling staffing needs for this specialty, the Anaphylaxis portal is not currently available in eConsult.  For allergy cases, DHS currently recommends that providers refer to the appropriate eConsult specialties available.  A patient can be referred to ENT, Dermatology or Pulmonary if there are appropriate allergic symptoms.  For example, please do not send a patient to Pulmonary to get skin testing.  DHS will continue monitoring specialty care resources and will provide updates as they become available.

Philips Respironics’ Voluntary Recall of CPAPs, BiPAPs, and AVAPs

As you may be aware, there has been a voluntary recall from the manufacturer of CPAP, BiPAP, and AVAP devices, Philips Respironics.  Following this news, the DHS Sleep Medicine Specialty-Primary Care Workgroup has developed information and guidance to providers regarding the current recall of these devices.  Please refer to their letter here.
