LA Health Services performs at the 90th percentile CA state benchmark for clinical quality on multiple quality measures! Public health systems in California participate in the state Quality Incentive Pool (QIP) program which sets performance expectations to improve health outcomes, enhance healthcare provider performance and strengthen health equity. The QIP measures span multiple domains of care such as primary and preventive care, behavioral health, maternal health, and patient safety. As part of our commitment to excellence, we have expertly implemented a series of efforts on quality improvement initiatives to close care gaps and achieve high quality outcomes. Over the years, LA Health Services has successfully met QIP performance targets, however this past year we were notified that as of the last performance year (2022), we have now exceeded the state’s 90th percentile benchmark on multiple quality measures including pediatric developmental screening, depression screening, chlamydia screening, venous thromboembolism prophylaxis, and medication therapy for heart failure. As a result, we have received 100 percent of our allocated pay-for-performance funding, giving us the financial resources necessary to continue delivering excellent services to those entrusted to our care.
