On Saturday, July 29, 2023, LA Health Services partnered with Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and resource fair to mark the official opening of our new Alvarado Health Center in Westlake. Attendees enjoyed music and had access to information and resources from various community organizations.

The new facility is part of our Ambulatory Care Network (ACN) and will serve as a primary care provider for Medi-Cal patients in Westlake and surrounding neighborhoods. Patients at Alvarado Health Center will have access to a wide range of clinical care and supportive services including primary care, behavioral health intervention, cervical cancer screenings, addiction treatment, and laboratory work. The Alvarado Health Center will be offering services in English, Spanish and Korean to reflect the needs of the local community.

The Westlake District is the second most populous community in Los Angeles County, opening a facility in such a heavily populated, low-income neighborhood is a step in the right direction and will help improve the health and wellness of the community.
