Who We Are – Health Center
La Puente Health Center serves diverse patients in La Puente and surrounding communities. The Center is run by the Health Services Ambulatory Care Network. Services are delivered in a safe, patient-centered environment that is accessible to the entire community.
Director
Ernest Espinoza is the Director for the San Gabriel Valley Health Center Group. Mr. Espinoza has more than 25 years of experience within the Health Services and has served in various administrative, management, and analytical positions.
He has served as the Ambulatory Care Network’s liaison to the County’s Department of Mental Health to facilitate the integration of mental health and primary care services to enhance access and patient care outcomes. Mr. Espinoza completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at UCLA. He also completed a postgraduate fellowship in health services management within Health Services; is a Fellow of the National Association of Public Hospitals and completed the California Health Leadership college series.
Medical Director
J. Michael Allevato, M.D. is the Medical Director for the San Gabriel Valley Health Center Group. He graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1997 and went on to complete his residency in Family Medicine at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. In 2000, Dr. Allevato began working as an attending physician at Edward R. Roybal Comprehensive Health center in East Los Angeles and went on to take hold the role or Associate Medical Director at the facility from 2008-2016. In 2016, Dr. Allevato enthusiastically joined the San Gabriel Valley Health Center Groups’ administrative team.
Nursing Director
Faye Christen A transformational healthcare leader with over 15 years of leadership experience, Faye Christen is the Clinical Nursing Director for San Gabriel Valley Health Center Group and East Los Angeles Health Center Group. She brings to the ACN a proven track record in driving enterprise-wide quality improvement, digital innovation, and workforce transformation across integrated health systems.
Faye Christen holds a Doctorate in Nursing from Yale University and offers deep expertise in healthcare policy, strategic leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. She is passionate about fostering healthy work environments and remains committed to leveraging technology—including virtual care models, workflow automation, and data-driven strategies—to drive clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
Assistant Administrator
Rosalinda Villalobos is the Assistant Administrator for the San Gabriel Valley Health Center Group. She has extensive diversified managerial and administrative experience in Health Care organizations. Ms. Villalobos earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern California. She strives to work with each member of her team to improve services for our patients and the community.
