High Desert Regional Health Center (HDRHC) opened its new, state-of-the-art facility in June of 2014. Prior to moving to the new site, the clinic was located at the former High Desert Hospital site in west Lancaster. HDRHC serves patients in the Antelope Valley region of north Los Angeles County, including the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale and the surrounding communities. HDRHC is part of is part of High Desert Health Center Group, a group of five clinics in the Antelope Valley area run by the Health Services (Health Services) Ambulatory Care Network (ACN).


Director​

Beryl Brooks is the High Desert Health Center Group Director. She is responsible for operations at the five Los Angeles County clinics in the Antelope Valley: High Desert Regional Health Center, Antelope Valley Health Center, Lake Los Angeles Community Clinic, Littlerock Community Clinic and South Valley Health Center. Ms. Brooks has been the Director since 2003.


Interim Medical Director​

Dr. David Campa is the Interim Medical Director for the High Desert Health Center Group. After graduating from the UC San Francisco School of Medicine, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He joined Health Services in 2012 as the Director of Primary Care for the Ambulatory Care Network. In 2019, he became a member of the High Desert Health Center Group’s leadership team with whom he works to provide high quality, patient-centered health care to Antelope Valley communities.


Nursing Director​

Susan Knapp is the High Desert Health Center Group Nursing Director and is responsible for nursing services at the five Los Angeles County clinics in the Antelope Valley: High Desert Regional Health Center, Antelope Valley Health Center, Lake Los Angeles Community Clinic, Littlerock Community Clinic and South Valley Health Center.

Ms. Knapp received a Masters of Nursing Degree from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills.  She was honored to serve a four-year term on the Governor’s Advisory Committee for Managed Health Care and Regulatory Implementation.


Assistant Administrator​

Timothy Moore is the Assistant Administrator for all the health centers in the High Desert Health Center Group.
