A Housing for Health team recently attended the 2024 National Conference on Ending Homelessness and Capitol Hill Day in Washington, D.C. The 3-day event was organized by the National Alliance to End Homelessness. The conference was a diverse gathering of industry advocates, service providers, vendors, and government leaders.

The event provided a platform for mutual learning, sharing best practices, and showcasing innovative approaches in the field. Director Sarah Mahin and her team actively participated in various roundtable panel discussions and workshops. They also presented valuable insights about our Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool | Brilliant Corners.

The conference was an invaluable opportunity for the Housing for Health team to engage with like-minded professionals, exchange ideas, and stay updated on the latest homelessness trends and developments. Sarah Mahin stated, “We are excited to bring back new perspectives and ideas to further enhance our mission of providing sustainable housing solutions to LA’s most vulnerable population.”

There will be a virtual brown bag session  (link is only available to LA Health Services workforce members) on August 20 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. open to LA Health Services Employees to hear from attendees about what they learned. The virtual session is part of our ongoing commitment to share the latest best practices and ensure we are caring for our entire patient population in the best ways possible. Come hear from your colleagues!
