Monkey Pox was declared a public health emergency by the US Department of Health and Human Services on August 4, 2022. The World Health Organization (WHO) is also keeping an eye on the spread of Monkeypox on an international level Monkeypox (who.int). Monkeypox is now being found in countries where it is not normally found.
Monkeypox is similar to smallpox, although it results in milder symptoms. The good news is that the risk factors and modes of transmission have been identified and a vaccine is available.
