EDIA Recruitment is Happening Now! 1024 576 Health Services Los Angeles County

The Recruitment Period for EDIA Subcommittees is almost complete! Thank you so much to everyone who applied to join Subcommittees at your facility or unit. Some teams are still recruiting so please contact your Recruitment Point Person (The Website is Accessible for Health Services Staff only) if you are interested in learning more or applying.

If you were unable to join an EDIA Subcommittee, it’s not too late to get involved. We’re still recruiting for the 8 initial DHS-wide Affinity Groups – Asian American Pacific Islander, American Indian/Alaska Native, Black, Disabled, Latinx, LGBTQ+, Women, and Veterans. We hope you’ll join us for an upcoming Affinity Group Info Session (The Website is Accessible for Health Services Staff only) to learn more.

Here’s what Dr. Griselda Gutierrez had to say about the EDIA Initiative at a recent Affinity Group Info Session!

Dr. G Video (The Website is Accessible for Health Services Staff only)

The EDIA Initiative is ambitious and Health Services is diverse on many levels. As such, it’s sometimes difficult to know how this work is happening. This month, in our EDIA Voices blog (The Website is Accessible for Health Services Staff only), we spoke with Jojo Robinson, an EDIA Recruitment Team Member at Rancho Los Amigos for a behind-the-scenes look at the recruitment process.

We’d like to hear your thoughts on the Initiative, too. What was your experience with the EDIA Subcommittee Recruitment process? What worked? What could have been improved? We want to hear from you. Email us at helloedia@dhs.lacounty.gov – we review and respond to all emails.
