LA Health Services is proud to acknowledge and recognize our more than 1,000 Patient Access healthcare professionals for their efforts and contributions to our patient-centered one-health system.
Patient Access Week is nationally recognized and is now an annual tradition at LA Health Services to recognize the contributions of our Patient Access workforce across the system. Patient Access Center (PAC) staff work in all our hospitals, ambulatory care clinics, and in our central Office of Patient Access (OPA) team. These staff members are often the first point of contact with our patients and are key in communicating and reflecting our system values. Patient Financial Services (PFS) staff, also part of PAC, work in our four hospitals, Martin Luther King Jr Outpatient Center, High Desert Regional Health Center, and in our central OPA team. PFS staff assist patients with Medi-Cal applications, Financial Assistance Programs (FAPs), when they receive a bill (Billing Inquiry), and also serve as Cashiers.
Here’s a list of events scheduled at some of the hospitals.

We hope you’ll join us! And when you see our Patient Access workforce members during Patient Access Week, please thank them for their hard work and their contributions in advancing the health of our patients and our community.
