Road Crashes LA County Dashboard

header-title-decorationRoad Crashes LA County Dashboard

This dashboard offers an overview of crash-related data and post-crash care in LA County. Data is sourced from the California Crash Reporting (CCRS) Database (formerly the Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System [SWITRS]) managed by California Highway Patrol, and the LA County EMS and Trauma Databases managed by the LA County EMS Agency. Data displayed from the CCRS includes crashes where at least one vehicle occupant sustained an injury, as reported by law enforcement, and for which GIS location data was available. Dashboard data from the LA County EMS and Trauma Databases includes all patients who had an EMS Provider Impression of Trauma after a road crash (EMS data) and who met criteria for inclusion in the LA County Trauma Database1 (hospital data) and includes information from both the prehospital, emergency department, and inpatient hospital settings. All protected health information has been removed from patient records.
