At the LAC+USC Medical Center, patients, families, and visitors are our primary concern. Our hospital staff is committed to providing you and your family with the highest level of quality care and we work hard to ensure that you will have the best patient experience possible during your hospital stay.

Providing the Care You Need at the Hospital

The LAC+USC Medical Center provides a full spectrum of emergency, inpatient and outpatient services on the medical campus. These include medical, surgical, emergency/trauma, obstetrical, gynecological and pediatric services as well as psychiatric services for adults, adolescents and children.

Providing the Care You Need in the Community

LAC+USC works with a network of community clinics and other health care providers to coordinate hospital services and community-based care. LAC+USC works to reach patients where they are through services such as the Breathmobile – a medically equipped van that visits Los Angeles County Schools to serve children who have asthma. The Breathmobile also provides testing for allergies, flu shots and education for families about how to improve their health.

Our Medical Team

LAC+USC’s medical staff includes more than 700 full-time physicians from the USC Keck School of Medicine, nearly 900 medical interns and residents, and about 2,600 nurses of all levels – including 900 registered nurses.

Our Hospital Campus

A new 600-bed state-of-the-art hospital opened in 2008 to replace the historic hospital structure that was damaged in the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. The new hospital meets stringent earthquake and fire codes and is built to withstand a high magnitude quake. The old hospital building is being refashioned into a Wellness Center – a dynamic new space for nonprofit agencies to link visitors to community health services and resources. The adjoining outdoor space will include walk paths, fitness trails, art exhibitions, and concert space. The LAC+USC health complex is adjacent to the University of Southern California Health Sciences Campus, which includes the USC Keck School of Medicine, USC School of Pharmacy, Keck Hospital and the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital.

Free Wi-Fi

LAC+USC provides wireless Internet access to patients, families and guests so you can use laptop computers, smart phones and other Wi-Fi enabled devices while staying or visiting the medical center.
