Luz Del Carmen F\u00e9lix-M\u00e1rquez, MD
\nInterim Medical Director[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”4\/5″][vc_column_text css=””]Dr. Luz del Carmen F\u00e9lix-M\u00e1rquez is a healthcare professional with 10 years of experience in both clinical practice and healthcare management.\u00a0 As the Interim Medical Director for the South Los Angeles Health Center Group, Dr. F\u00e9lix-M\u00e1rquez oversees clinical operations and ensures that the highest standards of patient care are consistently met.\u00a0 With a background in Family Medicine and fellowship training in Health Care Improvement, Dr. F\u00e9lix-M\u00e1rquez brings a unique combination of clinical, strategic leadership, and a strong focus on quality and process improvement, particularly in healthcare delivery within under-resourced health care settings, to the organization.<\/p>\n

Dr. F\u00e9lix-M\u00e1rquez\u00a0earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont, College of Medicine and completed her residency training at Harbor-UCLA Family Medicine.\u00a0 Post residency, she completed a one year Fellowship in Transforming Primary Care, where she learned Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) transformation and quality improvement through the Institute of Health Care Improvement.\u00a0 \u00a0She values involvement in quality and process improvement at all levels, ensuring a collaborative approach to enhancing patient care across the organization.<\/p>\n

In her role as Interim Medical Director, Dr. F\u00e9lix-M\u00e1rquez\u00a0is responsible for the development and implementation of clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives while ensuring quality services to our patient population.\u00a0 She is deeply committed to cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care, while leveraging data to ensure the provision of the right services at the right time.\u00a0 She is dedicated to the community she serves and regards all patients as extensions of her own family.\u00a0 \u00a0 Dr. F\u00e9lix-M\u00e1rquez\u00a0is committed to preserving a trusting relationship with the community, ensuring that healthcare needs are addressed with respect, compassion, and integrity, while also safeguarding patients’ agency and autonomy in their care decisions.<\/p>\n

Dr. F\u00e9lix-M\u00e1rquez\u00a0is board certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.\u00a0 Outside of her professional life, Dr. F\u00e9lix-M\u00e1rquez\u00a0enjoys traveling, backyard barbeques, and spending time with her family and friends.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/5″][vc_column_text css=””]\"Beverly<\/p>\n

Beverly Smith, RN
\nClinical Nursing Director[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”4\/5″][vc_column_text]Beverly Smith, RN, serves as the Clinical Nursing Director at several Ambulatory Care Network (ACN) health centers, including the Hubert H. Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center, Long Beach Comprehensive Health Center, Bell Health Center, Bellflower Health Center, Torrance Health Center, and Wilmington Health Center. In her role, she is responsible for planning and overseeing all nursing activities, which include staffing and training. Before assuming her current position, Ms. Smith worked as a Nurse Manager and Supervisor Clinic Nurse at the Hubert H. Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center and as a Forensic Nurse Response Lead. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing, equipping her with the knowledge and vision necessary to drive innovation and improve healthcare outcomes in the community.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/5″][vc_column_text css=””]\"M.<\/p>\n

Marla Villica\u00f1a, MPA
\nAssistant Administrator[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”4\/5″][vc_column_text css=””]Marla Villica\u00f1a is the Assistant Administrator at the South Los Angeles Health Care Group, which includes Hubert H. Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center and Bell Health Center.\u00a0 She oversees the Patient Access Center, Environmental Services, Warehouse Services, Transportation, and Facility Safety & Compliance.<\/p>\n

Ms. Villica\u00f1a has dedicated her career to the County of Los Angeles. She joins us from her previous role as an Administrative Services Manager for the Human Resources Department at the Department of Public Social Services. Prior to that position, she worked in Human Resources for the Department of Health Services and as a Social Services Supervisor for the In-Home Supportive Services program.<\/p>\n

She has a clear commitment to ensuring that high quality services are provided to LA County patients and to our communities.<\/p>\n
