We will match your experience, knowledge, and interests with the needs of our patients, departments, and services.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Our Mission:&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h4|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Volunteer Services creates opportunities for partnership between departments and community members, to directly support and enhance the lives of our patients.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Volunteer Requirements:&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h4|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>Call on the 1<sup>st<\/sup> working day of the month after 8:30 a.m. to sign-up<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be at least 15 years old.<\/li>\n<li>Be dependable and have a strong desire to serve others.<\/li>\n<li>Commit to a minimum of 150 volunteer hours (minimum 3 hours per week.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All volunteers are asked to maintain consistent attendance, a positive and cheerful attitude, be sensitive towards others, and be willing to learn and grow.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Onboarding Steps:&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h4|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete online application once cleared by VSD.<\/li>\n<li>Complete health clearance.<\/li>\n<li>Complete personal background \/ fingerprinting and reference check.<\/li>\n<li>Complete facility and department orientation.<\/li>\n<li>Complete required online trainings, including HIPAA and Confidentiality Policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Assignments are made based on the needs of the departments\/services and the interest of the volunteers.\u00a0 Schedules are available Monday through Friday for morning and afternoon. After some training, evening or weekend assignment may be accommodated.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteer Services Department works closely with the volunteers and their assigned department to monitor the volunteer\u2019s performance.\u00a0 All volunteers are required to meet and follow the facility\u2019s policies and procedures covered under the Rancho Orientation\/Reorientation Handbook. Volunteers with low performance, high absenteeism, and\/or unmet policies and procedures may be released from their volunteer assignment.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Departments Accepting Volunteers&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h4|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Concierge and Wayfinding<\/li>\n<li>Gift Shop<\/li>\n<li>Nursing<\/li>\n<li>Occupational Therapy<\/li>\n<li>Phlebotomy Lab<\/li>\n<li>Physical Therapy<\/li>\n<li>Recreation Therapy<\/li>\n<li>Speech Pathology<\/li>\n<li>Special Events and Projects<\/li>\n<li>Various Administrative and Office Support<\/li>\n<li>Wellness Center<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Duties of Volunteers&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h4|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Duties may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arranging and cleaning equipment<\/li>\n<li>Assist nursing or therapy staff with individual patient treatment (i.e., acquire, transport, and\/or stabilize equipment being used)<\/li>\n<li>Customer Service<\/li>\n<li>Clerical Assignments<\/li>\n<li>Disinfecting equipment<\/li>\n<li>Escorting patients to and from appointments<\/li>\n<li>Greeting patients and visitors<\/li>\n<li>Photocopying<\/li>\n<li>Preparing forms<\/li>\n<li>Recordkeeping\/filing<\/li>\n<li>Running errands and relaying messages<\/li>\n<li>Stocking supplies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;More Information&#8221;
