Volunteering provides an exceptional opportunity to take an active role in your community, build skills, make a difference, and explore career opportunities. \u00a0Countless volunteers have gone on to pursue careers in the healthcare field as a result of their volunteer experience. \u00a0Most volunteer shifts are flexible to your schedule. \u00a0You will be eligible to receive a letter of recommendation and documentation of community service after the completion of 50 hours of service.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Benefits of volunteering” tab_id=”1607650459408-2ae32939-b5d8″][vc_column_text]Make a Difference \u2013 Helping others is one of the most rewarding experiences.<\/p>\n

Gain Experience \u2013 Volunteering exposes volunteers to multiple healthcare careers. \u00a0Colleges and Universities often consider an applicant\u2019s experience as a volunteer.<\/p>\n

Meal Ticket \u2013 Is provided after four hours of service daily.<\/p>\n

Medical Center functions \u2013 Volunteers may attend various events, including the Annual Volunteer Banquet, holiday parties, special fairs and events.
\nDiscount Tickets \u2013 Volunteers may purchase discount tickets through the March of Dimes coordinator to theme parks, Sporting Events, Movie Theatres and other area attractions.<\/p>\n

Educational programs\/Health Screenings \u2013 Many health and wellness programs are offered at no cost to volunteers.<\/p>\n

These are just some of the duties performed by our volunteers:
\n\u2022 \u00a0Assist Discharge Unit with wheelchair transport
\n\u2022 \u00a0Running errands
\n\u2022 \u00a0Assist with most clerical needs

\n1. \u00a0Apply on-line
\n2. \u00a0You will be invited to attend an Interview with the Volunteer Director
\n3. \u00a0Make appointment for Live Scan with Volunteer Office
\n4. \u00a0When Live Scan clears make appointment for T.B testing
\n5. \u00a0When volunteer office receives your I.D. Badge you will be invited for a 90 minute orientation
\n6. \u00a0Meet with the Volunteer Director to be placed in an area of your interest.<\/p>\n
