ODR UPDATES: Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) Strategies

On February 12, 2019, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors (Board) passed a motion which brought together community advocates, service providers, community members and staff from multiple County departments to develop a roadmap for diverting people from jail into care. The resulting Alternatives to Incarceration (ATI) Work Group developed and approved 114 recommendations through an intensive consensus-building process involving more than 1,000 government and community stakeholders over ten months.

As one of ATI’s participating government agencies, ODR aims to provide updates on the nexus between ODR programming and the ATI recommended strategies.
