My Health LA ran a quality incentive program to recognize CPs for bringing MHLA participants back to in-person care. From October 2021 through June 2022, CPs were encouraged to engage with their participants and bring them back to the clinics for MHLA ‘included visits’.  Twenty-four CPs showed significant improvement in their visit rates, and MHLA distributed $1,354,904 in incentive payments. CPs should have received those payments in November.

With the final expansion of Medi-Cal on the horizon for the 26-49 year-old population in January 2024, MHLA is looking into expanding the quality incentive payments through a restricted Medi-Cal enrollment campaign. We are currently in the planning stages of the incentive program expansion, so more details are to follow in the future.
