It has come to our attention that several insurance claim forms have been submitted directly to either MHLA participants or to the MHLA program itself. We would like to remind everyone that MHLA and/or DHS does not cover services performed out of network or at non-DHS facilities. In addition, MHLA and DHS will not provide any compensatory funding for any medical, laboratory, or radiological services performed outside of CPs or DHS.

For MHLA participants admitted to non-DHS facilities for emergency services, those patients can be transferred to DHS facilities once they are stabilized for any additional care, medical supervision, follow-up services, etc. My Health LA is not health insurance and cannot be used to receive care outside the My Health LA clinics or Health Service facilities. Any health insurance claim forms sent to MHLA for services outside of DHS network will be returned to sender.
