MHLA Community Partner Connection Newsletter
Community Partners,
As you may recall, we launched a one-time project last October to incentivize CPs to bring My Health LA participants back into their clinics for in-person care. The Provider Information Notice 21-01 (PIN) explains the details of the project. We recently calculated the final visit rates, taking into account the transition of the 50+ population.
Two dozen CPs received either full or partial incentive payments, based on the guidelines in the PIN. The incentive payments will be sent out in November separate from the MGF payments. We are sending out $1.35 million in incentive payments. Congratulations and thank you for all you did to bring your patients back into the clinics. We hope you will continue to reach out to those My Health LA participants who have not been seen for in-person care in recent months. Please contact your program advocate if you have further questions.
We have heard from several CPs about your patients 50 and older who are still not eligible for full-scope Medi-Cal and need to access specialty care. We have been working with the eConsult team and the DHS specialty care director and have come up with a solution and will be reopening the portal for low-income 50+ individuals who are ineligible for full-scope Medi-Cal. We will rely on clinics to only send those who are ineligible. Those who are in full-scope Medi-Cal will not be scheduled for appointments. We are committed to our role as the safety net for specialty care and are glad that we can continue serving this population.
Thank you, as always, for everything you do and please reach out to me anytime with questions or concerns. Happy Halloween to all! — Anna Gorman agorman@dhs.lacounty.gov
