My Health LA is beginning its annual audits right after Labor Day. The audit team will conduct the FY 21-22 annual audits remotely but will conduct pre-site audits in person. The auditors will use attestations, video conferencing, document submission and screen sharing during the audit process.

There were only a few changes on the audit tools. On the Medical Record Review, we changed the colonoscopy age to 45. And on the Dental Site Review, we deleted the two elements below. Note that both will be evaluated during pre-site audits.

• Documentation of amalgam separator one-time compliance report submitted to Control Authority.
• Documentation that amalgam separator installed is compliant with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 11143 2008 standard (or equivalent).

We are sending out save-the-date emails for your audit. Approximately a month before your scheduled audit, you also will receive more detailed information about the audit, including the documents requested, the time, etc. In addition, the nurses are working on a webinar presentation to provide information on common findings and some technical assistance on strategies for improvement.
