One of the frequent complaints we hear from CPs is the challenge in receiving DHS specialist reviewer’s consult notes. Our DHS team investigated this issue in collaboration with our DHS vendor, Cerner and LANES. The problem has been identified.

Each DHS specialist that works within DHS Cerner framework may have multiple “templates” that they fill out depending on condition of the patient. This can range from 10 to 20 templates per specialty. Currently, there are 350 Specialist Templates within the Cerner system. Unfortunately, Lanes was not able to receive all of these templates.

DHS is working with Cerner to make all 350 Specialist Templates part of the inclusion list when the Specialist fills those out. We will keep you apprised of the status update, but this issue will be resolved soon.
