The center provides financial support programs such as the Michael D. Antonovich Registered<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nurse Scholarship and the Nursing Tuition Reimbursement Program, which can significantly aid in furthering your nursing education.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael D. Antonovich Registered Nurse Scholarship Program<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This program offers $4,000 to full-time undergraduate nursing students who are enrolled in an accredited nursing program leading to a nursing degree. To be eligible, recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA, apply through the Office of Nursing Affairs,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and agree to work as a full-time permanent RN in the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services hospital for three years upon graduation and RN licensure. Applications are accepted at any time.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nursing Tuition Reimbursement Program\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services offers this program to permanent County employees in registered nurse positions who successfully complete approved nursing courses at accredited universities or colleges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the program does not cover incidental costs such as books and supplies, and reimbursement for student activity fees is limited to mandatory charges at state schools. The Chief Nursing Officer and the Office of Nursing Affairs oversee the program.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
