Overview

The Neuroradiology Division provides comprehensive neuroimaging services to Los Angeles General Medical Center and Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Our fellowship-trained faculty comprises individuals with extensive subspecialty practice in addition to general neuroimaging; advanced subspecialty areas of neuroimaging expertise include:

  • Stroke – LA General is a Primary Stroke Center (PSC)
  • Neuro-oncology
  • Epilepsy – LA General is part of a large multicenter Comprehensive Epilepsy Consortium encompassing the LA basin, portions of the Central Valley, Orange County, and Santa Barbara
  • Head/neck Imaging
  • Spine
  • Image-guided procedures, particularly spine pain management

As the largest tertiary care referral center within the DHS system, the subspecialty services in neurosciences are robust, and our close collaboration with clinical neurological specialties ensures that each patient receives the most up-to-date clinical expertise. The Neuroradiology Fellowship Program is an integral part of the division, and our faculty are highly committed to educating the next generation of radiologists. Many of our faculty have significant involvement in research at the national and local levels.
