The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services Department at LAC+USC Medical Center provides appropriate, effective care to inpatients and outpatients within our network, including those in the Emergency Department, Observation Units, Intensive Care Units, and Day Surgery.  We also accept referred patients from Los Angeles County Comprehensive Health Centers, Health Clinics, and Community Partner Clinics.

Rehabilitation Services includes: Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Recreation Therapy, and Speech Therapy.  We work closely together, with the medical team, and our patients to develop a thoughtful and personalized plan of care.  Our Board Certified and Credentialed therapists combine expert clinical training with a sensitive approach to guide our patients toward meeting their highest potential.

Rehabilitation has been a part of the history of our medical center since the early 1900’s and assisted in establishing the professions of Physical and Occupational Therapy nationally. Together, all of our disciplines continue that tradition.
