Health Services operates the mobile clinic based out of the High Desert Regional Health Center in Lancaster.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThis truly is a very exciting day for this community. This is something that we have been working on for quite a while,\u201d Barger said at the ceremony, attended by children, parents, Palmdale School District trustees, administrators, county officials and other community leaders.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">There is a huge need in the Antelope Valley for the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Breathmobile<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the supervisor said.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe statistics prove it,\u201d Barger said. \u201cOur Los Angeles County Health Services confirmed that 14.2% of children have asthma in the Antelope Valley and don\u2019t have access to services. That is far too many of our youth \u2014 from infants to teenagers \u2014 who are suffering.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Palmdale School District was the first local data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIn our community we have a lot of great students, but we also know that we have a lot of needs,\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">almdale<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0School District Superintendent Raul Maldonado said.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Palmdale School District trustee Nancy Smith toured the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Breathmobile<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0prior to the ceremony.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cI think it\u2019s wonderful that we\u2019re going to have access for this for our kids,\u201d Smith said.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Smith added the education portion that district data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0they understand how to give their children the correct medication and what to watch for \u2026 because when their kids miss school and their kids are sick, they lose their education for that day,\u201d Smith said. \u201cIt\u2019s important that they\u2019re here every day to get the best education that they can get.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u201cWe hope to drive all across the Antelope Valley and find everybody who has asthma,\u201d Quentin O\u2019Brien, CEO for the Ambulatory Care Network of the Health
