Urgent Care

Urgent Care
Urgent Care is an unscheduled doctor’s visit when you cannot wait for a scheduled appointment. Urgent Care providers can treat less serious illnesses and injuries like a cold or influenza, minor cuts and abrasions, and sprains. Most locations offer extended hours.

For the health and safety of all our patients, doctors, and staff, we’re limiting visitors in our facilities. Please see our COVID-19 page for more details.

Urgent Care is a convenient, on-demand option for patients who cannot wait for an appointment with their primary care provider. Urgent Care providers can treat less serious illnesses and injuries like a cold or influenza, minor cuts and abrasions, and sprains. All of our urgent care sites take walk-in patients without an appointment, but capacity is limited, so you should arrive early in the day to be sure to be seen. You can also reserve time to be seen in an urgent care clinic from home at many of our sites by calling ahead the same day or by using the “Schedule an Appointment” feature on the LA Health Portal website or mobile app, including the option to schedule a phone or video visit with an urgent care provider. These options allow our patients to wait in line to be seen in urgent care from home saving time and providing a more convenient care experience.

Because hospital emergency rooms can often be crowded, Urgent Care services provide an easier way to get care if your condition is not life-threatening.  If you are a current patient, call your Primary Care clinic  first to see if a same-day appointment is available.
