Hawkins Mental Health Center Public Notice

PUBLIC NOTICE

Please take notice that the adult and adolescent psychiatric inpatient services currently being provided at the Augustus F. Hawkins Mental Health Center (Hawkins) will be relocated from its current location at 1720 E. 120th St., Los Angeles, CA 90059-2402, to the Los Angeles General Medical Center (LA General) main campus at 2051 Marengo St, Los Angeles, CA 90033-1352 as set forth in the attachments to this notice, which are incorporated herein by this reference. The relocation of these services will occur on or after August 15, 2025.

The Health and Mental Health Deputies to the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County will hold a public discussion to address the relocation of these services commencing on June 18, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 140A of the Hall of Administration, 500 W. Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. The meeting will also be available virtually, which telephone number and virtual link may be found on the agenda to the Health and Mental Health Cluster at: https://ceo.lacounty.gov/agendas. This discussion is intended to afford members of the public an opportunity to be heard regarding the relocation of these services.
