In addition to serving as a major training site for medical students from the UCLA School of Medicine, Harbor-UCLA also works with staff and medical students from the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Harbor-UCLA is also home to The Lundquist Institute (formerly known as the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute, or LA BioMed), one of the largest, independent, not-for-profit biomedical research institutes in the United States.

COVID-19 Restriction Updates: We are following the guidelines provided by The David Geffen School of Medicine, which has been following guidelines published by the Coalition for Physician Accountability. As of April 15, 2021, we will begin accepting applications for away rotations. Please note, you will need to select rotation dates that are at minimum 60-days prior to desired start date to allow for ample time for onboarding procedures.
