The Health Services (DHS), Adult Medicine Clinic in located within the Curtis Tucker Health Center an affiliate of the Department of Public Health. This DHS clinic is part of the Ambulatory Care Network\u2019s Metro Health Center Group (MHCG). The group is geographically responsible for providing seamless and integrated healthcare to the residents of the City of Inglewood and South Los Angeles communities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nDirector<\/strong>
\nAngela Baca-Cooper, MHA, FACHE[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”4\/5″][vc_column_text]Angela Baca-Cooper serves as the Director of the Metro Health Center Group (MHCG) which includes H. Claude Hudson Comprehensive Health Center, the DHS Adult Medicine Clinic at Curtis Tucker Health Center, and the DHS Adult Medicine Clinic at Alvarado Health Center. She directs the operations of primary care, specialty care and urgent care services. \u00a0Mrs. Baca-Cooper has dedicated her career to helping underserved populations in Los Angeles County to access high quality health care.\u202f\u202f Ms. Baca-Cooper completed a Health Services Management Fellowship for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and an Administrative Residency for LA Care Health Plan.\u00a0 She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion Disease Prevention Studies, Graduate Certificate in Management of Ambulatory Care Systems, and a Master\u2019s degree in Health Administration from the University of Southern California.\u00a0 Mrs. Baca-Cooper is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).<\/span><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/5″][vc_column_text]\"Rona
\nMedical Director<\/strong>
\nRona Molodow M.D.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”4\/5″][vc_column_text]Dr. Rona Molodow joined the Metro Health Care Group as Medical Director in late 2012.\u00a0 She is a pediatrician with a depth of experience working on behalf of children.\u00a0 She earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Southern California and her medical degree from the University of California at San Diego.\u00a0 She completed her pediatric training at the University of California at Los Angeles, where she also served as Chief Resident.\u00a0 She joined the pediatric faculty at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center on graduation and ultimately earned the title of Clinical Professor of Pediatrics.\u00a0 At Olive View, she was an Associate Residency Program Director for the UCLA Training Program.\u00a0 She also served as Chair of Olive View\u2019s Graduate Medical Education Committee, Chair of the Risk Management Committee, and President of the Professional Staff Association.\u00a0 She maintains her relationship with UCLA by serving on their Institutional Review Board, evaluating the safety of proposed research protocols.\u00a0 Dr. Molodow\u2019s greatest joy is acting as a general pediatrician at Hudson and seeing her patients go from infancy to young adulthood.\u00a0 She is proud to be part of the Metro family and her goal has always been to make both patients and staff equally proud to be part of that family.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/5″][vc_column_text]\"Tyrone-Clark\"
\nAssistant Administrator<\/strong>
\nTyrone Clark[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”4\/5″][vc_column_text]Tyrone Clark is the Assistant Administrator at Metro Health Center Group. Mr. Clark is a committed healthcare professional and leader with over 15 years of experience working alongside line staff and executive leadership within our organization. Prior to this role Mr. Clark had most recently been assigned as the Program Manager over key Metro Health Center group operations, such as the Patient Access Center and Administrative Operations. Mr. Clark has extensive diversified managerial and administrative experience in health care organizations. Mr. Clark finished his undergraduate studies at Bethany College. In his current role, Mr. Clark is responsible for the day-to-day operations for H. Claude Hudson CHC, Curtis Tucker HC, and Alvarado HC.<\/span><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/5″][vc_column_text css=””]\"Nicholas<\/p>\n

Clinical Nursing Director<\/strong>
\nNicholas Valenzuela, MBA, MSN-Ed, RN[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”4\/5″][vc_column_text css=””]Nicholas Valenzuela has dedicated 21 years to LA County, transitioning from a 911 dispatcher with the Sheriff’s Department to healthcare in 2010. He began his nursing career in the Emergency Room and Urgent Care at LA General, where he led quality improvement initiatives. He later served as the hospital\u2019s Patient Safety Coordinator, spearheading key programs such as H3\u2014Helping Healers Heal\u2014and the Good Catch Award, while championing Just Culture initiatives across DHS.
\nIn 2018, Nick joined the Ambulatory Care Network (ACN), advancing into nursing leadership as a supervisor and later as a nurse manager at the East LA Health Center Group. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a pivotal role in managing nursing redeployments, leading vaccine distribution efforts, and establishing a vaccination clinic for DHS patients and the broader East LA community.
\nFrom 2022 to 2024, Nick co-led the ACN Infection Prevention and Control department, helping to shape its unified direction. His contributions include developing the ACN IPC SharePoint, the bloodborne pathogen training program, and strategic dashboards to identify trends and develop organizational initiatives.
\nDuring the latter half of 2025, Nick assumed the role of Director of ACN Nursing Operations, Innovation, and Strategic Initiatives, working closely with DHS leadership on key projects. His contributions included introducing the DAISY and BEE awards to the ACN nursing community, collaborating with DHS LAB and pediatric leadership to develop a new POCT process for pediatric patients, and supporting clinical professional development initiatives.
\nNow serving as the Clinical Nursing Director of the Metro Health Center Group, Nick continues to drive nursing excellence and operational innovation. He holds an MSN in Education, an MBA from Grand Canyon University, and is an alumnus of the DHS Nurse Leadership Development Program. He remains committed to advancing nursing leadership and is a leadership faculty for the DHS LDP TOP Program.
