Discount Payment Plan (DPP)

DPP covers doctor visits and hospital care from County hospitals or hospital based clinics only. Your gross family income must be at or below $3,518 per month. You must apply for Medi-Cal if you qualify.

Who can get it?

  • Non-county residents who receive either inpatient (hospital care) or outpatient (doctor visits) care at a county hospital who are either self-pay or have a high medical cost
  • Gross family income is less than 350% of the current Federal Poverty Level (FPL) or $3,518* per month

How much does it cost?

  • If income is less than $3,518* per month, the amount you must pay shall not be greater than what the LA County DHS facility would receive from the Medi-Cal program or no more than 95% of total charges

  • Current address
  • Proof of income
  • Proof of medical insurance
  • Proof of childcare and child support payments
