All applicants* must successfully complete the Test for Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) ATI TEAS or TEAS V with a minimum individual total score of 64.7%.

The ATI TEAS measures basic essential skills in the academic content area domains of reading, mathematics, science and English and language usage.  These entry level skills were deemed important for health science program applicants by a panel of subject matter experts.

Each of the 4 test areas has a time limit and each question is multiple choice.  Calculators will be provided for the test. Study materials are available on the ATI testing website (

Applicants who have a "B" average or above in the science prerequisite courses will be sent information about the ATI TEAS dates, cost, and how to schedule the test.

Applicants who score below 64.7% may “retest” one time during the next application period.   Not passing the exam the first time impacts the number of points awarded for acceptance into the program.  (See Point System.)
