HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus and can lead to Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). HIV affects cells of the human immune system that, over time, prevents the body’s ability to fight infections and disease.
Today, HIV/AIDS can be managed as a chronic illness in Primary Care settings. For over 25 years, DHS has been a leader in HIV/AIDS care. Physicians at the well-known Rand Schrader and OASIS clinics have helped thousands of patients lead healthy lives through quality care and new drug therapies.
If you are a current DHS patient, talk to your Primary Care provider about your risks for HIV infection and treatment options. If you are not a current DHS patient and do not have health care coverage, visit one of the DHS clinic sites listed below that offer HIV/AIDS Primary Care services to find a provider and get linked to services.
Please note that financial screening is required at each of these locations prior to seeing a doctor or making an appointment. Clinic staff will help you determine all available coverage and payment options.
