Managed Care Patients

  • New managed care patients must be part of a Medi-Cal Health Plan through LA Care or Health Net and be assigned to High Desert Regional Health Center as their medical home. Medi-Cal enrollments are coordinated by the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS). DPSS can be contacted at: http://dpss.lacounty.gov/or 866-613-3777. For assistance with medical home assignments or information, please contact our Patient Relations staff at (661) 471-4066.
  • Current HDRHC patients may call the appointment center at 661-471-4400 to schedule appointments. A limited number of same day/next day appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you need to speak with your Medical Home Team, you can call the Adult Primary Care Clinic at (661) 471-4360 or the Pediatrics Clinic at (661) 471-4040.A nurse will be available during clinic hours assist with your questions.
  • Patients who have scheduled appointments will register at the central registration area on the floor where the clinic is located.  Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment and bring your photo ID, your clinic cards and current medications. You will be asked to verify your address, phone number and health plan information.If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call the Appointment Center at 661-471-4400.

Uninsured Patients

Uninsured patients with urgent medical issues may be seen in the High Desert Regional Health Center Health Urgent Care Clinic. At the time of visit, patients will be provided with information about programs they may qualify for or referred to an on-site eligibility worker for assistance applying for Medi-Cal.

Urgent care services are provided on a walk-in basis and appointments are not available. Please bring copies of your photo ID and your current medications

HDRHC providers are part of the LA Care and HealthNet Medi-Cal Health Plan provider networks. If you are not a managed care member assigned to our clinics, you may receive a bill.

If you have a share-of-cost or have an outstanding balance on your bill, you can:

  • Make in-person payments at the Cashier
    • The cashier is available Monday – Friday from 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
    • We accept cash, check and major credit cards in person at the Cashier.
  • Mail in your payment to the Patient Accounts Office:
    • Please do not mail cash
    • Check payments can be made payable to High Desert Regional Health Center and mailed to:
