Performance Management and Advocacy

The Performance Management Division staff conducts administrative investigations related to employee misconduct and/or performance and makes recommendations for appropriate corrective action. The staff also prepares formal corrective action letters for a facility management’s review and approval. Staff also provides consultation to Department supervisors and managers in all matters related to disciplinary action, disciplinary policies, documenting information in a performance evaluation, techniques for correcting specific behavior or performance problems, and the application of Civil Service Rules. Additionally, Performance Management staff may represent the Department in matters before a third party, such as the Civil Service Commission, Employee Relations Commission, and/or CEOP Panel briefing.
